Zen saying
I'm emerging from a 2 week silent solo retreat filled with quiet practice and visioning. It began on the new moon and completed on this evening's full Sturgeon moon.
This moon's image is worth sitting with: the sturgeon itself (it's a big fish, I had to look that up) moving low through lake water and stirring the mud at the bottom as it goes. Its medicine is its low movement. What has settled through this cycle is rising now, silt and all. This lunar cycle has reached its crescendo.
There is an invitation to calibrate with this lunar energy by sitting beside any water you can reach and notice what surfaces when you go still. This can be a bowl of water in front of your altar, a lake, or the ocean. Journal about what this cycle has loosened in you.
A few invitations for September
Reiki Retreat · Saturday, September 12 · Santa Rosa · 10am to 5pm
An intimate gathering to reconnect with the heart of Reiki. An opportunity to slow down and reconnect with the cycles of nature, yourself, and the sacred flow. We gather in community, for attunements, Reiki trades, meditation, a sound and light bath, and quiet reflective practice. A full day to nourish your soul, realign with the divine light and remember what matters most.
The Autumn Equinox Ceremony · Saturday, September 19 · Berkeley
You are invited to an all day ceremony in Berkeley for the Autumn Equinox. Day and night stand equal, and yin and yang meet as true equals. This is the year's moment for harvesting what we have grown and releasing what is complete. This ceremony is an opportunity for radical connection of the undefended heart: meditation, sound healing, redwoods, and offerings.
